So we’ve finally done it, along the way, amongst the endless lists of equipment that we need, we finally came to the conclusion that we should buy a car.
After hours and hours trawling the depths of ebay and gumtree, looking at our options and weighing up prices of different models, one advert finally jumped out at us.
The advert was for a 2005 Renault Kangoo, only 42,000 miles on the clock, and previously used as a school runner. Only problem is it was located in Reading…
But the advert seemed almost too good to be true, at the very least it was definitely too good to miss out on. So off we trotted to Reading.
Upon arriving in Reading we were met by a lovely old man who (once we had explained what we were going to use the vehicle for) could not help us enough. Turns out he had himself driven to Pakistan twice before in a similar car!
After a good hour of talking and haggling, and the gentleman routing around in his garage to find us any and every spare bit he could think of that we might need, the deal was made and we walked away with the newest member of our team.
And so we present to you the general public….
The next step will be to get her kitted out over the next few weeks and then to get her named by you! So stay tuned for updates!
